2011 Ervin Outlaw Scholarship Recipients!
The Walter Latham Foundation proudly congratulates Jeanine Hubbard and Taylor Schorr, recipients of the 2011 Ervin Outlaw Scholarship. Both young ladies had exemplary high school careers. Jeanine, a graduate of Eastern Guilford High School was a varsity cheerleader and a member of the varsity track team and the Beta Club. She is committed to serving her community as a peer mentor for Teens Taking Action. Jeanine received the NCHSAA-Athlete Award for Women’s Track and the Academic All-Conference for Varsity Cheerleading.
Jeanine will attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the fall. |

Taylor Schorr graduated from Northeast Guilford with a 4.6 GPA. She participated in student government in her junior and senior years as Vice President and Treasurer. She was a member of the Varsity Swim team, Beta Club, Junior Civitans and Art Club. She has also been very active in community service as a Moses Cone Teen volunteer, Operation Christmas Child volunteer and a Loaves and Fishes Food Ministry volunteer.Taylor will attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the fall. |
